METHODS OF USE AND CARE OF FURNITURE
Proper furniture care plays a key role in maintaining their aesthetics and functionality for many years. Furniture is not only an element of interior design, but also an investment that, with proper maintenance, can serve for many years. Regular care allows you to keep them in excellent condition, preventing damage and premature wear. The basic rules of care include regular cleaning of surfaces from dust and dirt, using appropriate care products adapted to the material from which the furniture is made, and avoiding excessive exposure to sunlight and moisture. Thanks to these simple steps, we can significantly extend the life of our furniture, maintaining its original appearance and functionality.
You bought your dream furniture, now what?
CONGLOMERATE COUNTERTOPS
- Moving tables: Tables with a conglomerate or glass top and a steel base should not be moved by lifting them up by grasping the top. This can result in tearing off the mounting elements and damaging the top or base. It is recommended to move the table by grasping the base at the lowest possible point.
- Scratch protection: The surface of varnished, glass and conglomerate tops, despite their hardness, requires caution in everyday use. We recommend using coasters under dishes and other items to avoid accidental scratches. This will ensure that your table always looks perfect.
- Easy care: Cleaning the table top is incredibly easy - just wipe it with a damp cloth and a gentle cleaning agent. Regular care will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the table top without much effort.
- Avoid intensive cleaning: To maintain the perfect surface finish, please avoid scrubbing and using aggressive chemicals that can cause dulling. Gentle cleaning methods are key to maintaining the long-term aesthetics of the table top.
- Protection against high temperature and sun: Agglomerate table tops, due to the epoxy resin content, can be sensitive to extreme temperatures. To prevent potential discoloration, please avoid direct contact with hot dishes and prolonged exposure to intense sunlight. Thanks to this simple protection, the color of the countertop will remain uniform and beautiful for years.
GALVANIZED ELEMENTS
- Galvanized lighting and furniture elements should be cleaned very carefully, using a soft, dry cloth. Gold and silver elements are like jewelry, treat them gently, and they will shine beautifully. Intensive scrubbing, using liquids can destroy the coating.
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE/ FURNITURE WITH SLEEPING FUNCTION
- By choosing furniture with a sleeping function, you gain versatility and comfort in one. Thanks to this solution, your sofa becomes not only a place to sit, but also a comfortable bed for guests. Differences in seat hardness are a natural effect of the construction, which does not affect the quality of use. This is caused by the different base on which the seat is placed (the sleeping function occupies part of the seat, it is a movable part and performs work. The remaining part of the seat is stationary), this is not considered a defect but a natural property.
- Under the influence of the weight of the sitting person, as well as natural moisture (sweat) and body temperature, an imprint or fold may appear on the seat of the furniture. This is an effect similar to ironing, resulting from the adhesion of individual fabric fibers to each other. This is a typical phenomenon associated with the use of fabrics such as chenille, velour, and does not indicate a reduced quality of the material. Regularly combing the hair with a soft brush helps maintain its elasticity and aesthetics.
- Shading, or subtle changes in the shade of the fabric under the influence of light, adds a unique character to furniture and is not a defect, but a feature of these materials.
- Keeping fabrics clean is easy with the right techniques. To remove greasy and wet stains, use a paper towel and then a clean, damp and soft sponge so that the stain is quickly absorbed. Otherwise, the dirt may penetrate deep into the fibers of the fabric, preventing it from being effectively cleaned. Then you can start removing the stain, using lukewarm water and a neutral cleaning agent intended for hand washing. The dirty surface should be cleaned with gentle, circular movements from the outside to the inside, avoiding vigorous rubbing with a wet hair. After removing the stain, leave the fabric to dry at room temperature. If necessary, repeat the process, expanding the cleaned area around the stained area to reduce the effect of the circular center. Coffee or tea stains should be immediately blotted with an absorbent cotton cloth and solid dirt, i.e. coffee grounds, should be removed. Then proceed in the same way as with greasy stains. Before using chemical agents to clean furniture, test their effect on an invisible part of the furniture - e.g. the back of the furniture. If no harmful reaction of the agent to the upholstery is observed, it can be used to clean the entire piece of furniture. It is also worth using the services of professional cleaning companies to ensure the longevity and fresh appearance of the furniture. Upholstery materials should not be ironed.
