Minimalist Interiors - How to Create a Modern Oasis of Calm in Your Home
Minimalist interiors are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their simplicity, functionality, and harmony. However, to create a true oasis of comfort at home, proper lighting is essential. It's a key element that influences the atmosphere and character of a room, and at the same time, it must be consistent with the minimalist philosophy. It's worth exploring how to choose lighting for a minimalist interior to create a modern, relaxing space.
Minimalist style – elegant aesthetics in simplicity
The reality we've been experiencing for several years has significantly impacted our lives within our homes. We're noticing a significant change in the amount of time we spend at home, due to factors such as remote work or simply becoming accustomed to isolation.
Therefore, it's crucial that the space we spend a lot of time in is as comfortable as possible and beneficial to our well-being. Our home has become both a haven for relaxation and a place to work. In times of pandemic, where we are vulnerable to illness and depression, we must prioritize creating an oasis of peace and maximum relaxation for ourselves – our home.
Nature undoubtedly is and will continue to be the most life-friendly environment. The more of it in our interiors, the better. Nature is earth and light. Interiors inspired by this element must include earthy tones – light and neutral hues. It's worth ensuring access to daylight in frequently used areas – such as the dining room or living room. Beautiful bedroom lighting will be the jewel of the interior and a charming addition to the décor, for example in the evening. However, it's important to remember that nothing can replace healthy, daylight in the middle of the day! It's worth designing a dining room with access to these benefits.
Another aspect that's friendly to us, warming the space and also associated with nature is, of course, the theme of vegetation, vitality, and ecology! Our oasis of relaxation should embrace these aspects. Currently, we have a wide range and availability of natural materials such as bamboo or wicker, wood, stone, and many other readily available materials.

The best nature-inspired decorations
Undoubtedly, the best decoration for a nature-inspired interior will be plants!
Live vegetation not only impacts beautiful interior design but also our health. If for some reason we can't afford this type of decoration, we can use a plant motif, for example, in the form of beautiful, patterned wallpapers or fabrics. Another interesting and simple solution is to place pictures or posters with a plant motif, for example, in a wooden frame.
In interiors inspired by nature, wood is often used as a finishing element for freestanding or built-in furniture, and can also be found in parquet floors. For financial and practical reasons, wood imitation tiles are acceptable, which still allows for the character of an interior with a natural style.
Wood is also used in all kinds of sculptures and other decorative elements such as flower pots, vases, and pedestals. Natural stone or stone imitations are equally popular. This decorative element is increasingly used in the form of slabs placed on the wall, creating a unique, natural decoration for the room.
Nature-inspired decorations also include natural materials and fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, or leather. The uses of these raw materials are wide-ranging: from furniture and upholstered items, to rugs, blankets, pillows, as well as decorations and small accessories that we will use in such a natural interior!

Enjoy natural light and warm artificial lighting
Natural motifs and distinctive interior finishing elements can be found in vintage style. This style is extremely nature-friendly, using raw materials such as greenery and wood, as well as natural fabrics and materials. Warm and welcoming light is crucial in such a space, as it significantly affects the atmosphere and mood of the interior. Both the dining room, living room, and guest room should have access to natural daylight, which not only benefits the décor but also our eyesight and health. In the evening or winter, it's worth investing in warm, artificial lighting in these rooms. The bedroom, as a separate, intimate space, is like an oasis of peace. In vintage interiors, bright, strong, and flashy light sources are avoided. Vintage-style bedroom lighting is warm and subdued, allowing us to completely unwind, relax, and rest. When searching for the right lamps for the bedroom, it's worth considering not only the appearance—one that matches the style and theme—but also the light output and intensity.
